The painter’s participation list totally comprises about 100 exhibitions. Since 2008 has been living and working in Toronto.

Rinat Harisov’s creations stem in equal measure from the Russian “ lubok”, motives symbols of Tatar national art and his nation’s folk-lore: from rural rhymes to urban intelligentsia romance. Astral signs (moon, crescent, sun, star) characteristic for the Tatar traditional embroidery and fancy pattern weaving works , floral and fruit motives, equine imagery inherent in the epic poems of the Turkic peoples and nostalgically interpreted image of paternal home, stately grace of Tatar girls that evokes the representativeness of Muslim architecture, familiar objects of infantile memory (cinema, fire-brigade, “Pobeda” automobile of the 50-s, post-war hand-tinted photographic picture-cards)-these are all the tantamount constituents of Rinat Harisov’s pictorial domain. The painter creates a popular model of happy life , thus expressing a historically worked - out popular view of ideal felicity. That is why the motive of loving couple soaring in the sky and dove of peace look like a moral prologue of the painter’s aesthetic concept. Of equal importance is the motive of starry sky that implies space infinity associated with a popular romantic concept of eternal love.
Harisov’s style is the interpretation of pictorial and plastic discoveries of Russian avant-guard of the early XX th century (of primitivism above all), sophisticated with decorative and plastic refinements of the Tatar national art fancy patterns.
