1966 !...Il troque sa blouse d'écolier pour celle du peintre en bâtiment. Après trois années d'apprentissage, il entre à l'Ecole Blot pour apprendre la profession de peintre décorateur. A dater de 1970, trois autres années lui sont nécessaires pour maîtriser le métier et s'installer artisan en 1973. Dans son atelier de peinture en lettres, il développe l'activité d'enseignes, de publicité et de sérigraphie jusqu'en 1994. Cette année sera une époque charnière. Sur les chemins du baroque Savoyard, il renoue avec la décoration en restaurant des chapelles, activité qui le guide à Genève, plus particulièrement au Grand Théâtre, peindre les décors d'opéra devient son quotidien. Ce passage en terre helvétique est pour lui une révélation. De théâtres en chapelles, de fresques en trompe l’œil, il cherche à s'évader du figuratif pour tenter de transposer ses ressentis avec abstraction.
De temps à autres, il pose ses couteaux pour prendre la plume, et de ses mots écrits sur le papier, il colore ses toiles en laissant aller son inspiration.
