LL Eveland, abstract artist with a passion for Outsider Art, integrates mixed-media and acrylics on canvas. With a penchant for thinking outside the norm, she adored Juan Miro and Picasso. Much of her inspiration comes from deep within as well as everyday objects, people and events. As evident in her recent works, especially the Blue Men series, LL was heavily influenced by the ongoing war struggles. LL's current exhibition at Marquis Art Gallery reflects the consequences of a nation divided and the hope for rebirth and progress.
Outside the studio, LL has taught various art classes and helps to promote new artists through . A permanent collection resides in the Luzerne Chamber of Commerce as well as a commissioned installation in honor of The WTC Fallen Firefighters and Police Officers in New York City. Various exhibitions, publications and merits include Gallery Juno NYC, Raw Vision UK & NYC, Art Scene Gallery CA, Saatchi-Gallery UK, Barnes & Nobles, Priceless Treasures, Everhart Museum, Gentle Strength NYC, Tudor Gallery, Diffusion Art, Fine Arts Fiesta, The Pauper Gallery WA and NYC American Craftsman Galleries.
What I love about creating art is that it provides the greatest freedom of self-expression. There are no boundaries or limitations. I am free to communicate my visions, interpretations and dreams upon canvas. For me, it is the purest form of truth. A creative person must overcome the fear of ridicule and be daring and foolish. You will always come up short unless you venture beyond the edge. ~LL Eveland
