Roberto Brancolini is a freelance photographer who fell in love with photography while traveling. He works in journalism while also conducting personal research projects. His work has been featured in national newspapers and magazines.

He works in the field of reportage, following the development of anti-globalisation movements, the conditions of Zapatista refugees in Mexico, and the lives of Palestinian civilians, as well as conducting photographic research on Eastern European migrant women known as "carers."

Roberto Brancolini is a Modena native. Repubblica, l'Unita', il Manifesto, Avvenire, la Gazzetta di Modena, Famiglia Cristiana, l'Espresso, Left, la Nuova Ecologia, Internazionale, and Carta have all published his photographs. He has also collaborated with Arci on two photographic booklets about the Zapatista movement (2000-2001) and one about Palestine with Massari (2002).
