He was born in Morocco in 1948. His father, of Spanish origin, is a portrait photographer and amateur painter. After high school, he enrolled at the School of Fine Arts in Rabat. He then went to Paris to take courses at the Met Graphic Arts School of Penninghen and J. D'Andon at 31, rue du Dragon (66-67). Worked for 4 years in an architecture agency in the South-West, which he left to teach art and established his studio in Burgundy from 1971 to 1992 where he produced several exhibitions in Auxerre (Maison du Tourisme, Galerie de L'Yonne Républicaine , Galerie du Temple) and in Noyers/Serein. During this period, he met and maintained an ongoing epistolary relationship with the painter Roger Chapelain-Midy.
In 1992 he left the metropolis for French Polynesia where he actively participated in the revival of the art of tattooing in Raiatea and Tahiti. During his stay, he exhibited permanently at the Galerie des Tropiques in Papeete.

In 1993, explorer and ethnologist Paul-Emile Victor asked him to teach drawing to young Polynesians in Bora-Bora.
On his return from Polynesia in 1998, he taught in the Côtes d'Armor (Saint-Brieuc) until 2010 then settled on the pink granite coast in Trébeurden (Côtes d'Armor) where he built a large house- workshop-cabinet of curiosities.
