Philippe Olive is a contemporary French sculptor. The emotion is created by an instinctual approach in which the artist’s never-ending search revolves around feminine curves. The piece takes on movement and engages the subject matter; a search for harmony is formed, and it serves as an invitation to reflection. In order to more effectively convey lightness, fragility, and feminine sensuality, he goes beyond the figurative. Playing with noble materials and contrasting smooth and rough textures creates a dynamic that turns perception into reality and turns the fantastical into the existential.
