PaperArt by danish artist Birgitte Hansen

I work with pencil, scissors and cutting pen. The images are structured as paper collages, which are subsequently printed in screen printing or art prints.

My name is Birgitte Hansen. I live and work partly in West Jutland and partly in Copenhagen. For many years I have been working as a teacher in art history, art comprehension and drawing and graphics.
As an performing artist I am autodidact.
In Denmark and Scandinavia we have a strong tradition of abstract, cubistic art. My art is highly inspired by the very famous artist group COBRA, founded in 1948 by the world famous Danish painter Asger Jorn.
