This is the first work of the triptych Newhaven. I'd been working on it for three years. Each image was made with a gap of one year. They reflect not the passage of time, but the difference in my moods.
The original work was made on a canvas 841 × 1189 mm (33.1 × 46.8 in). For a tracing I projected on it the file prepared in emulation software. Then painted the image with a mix: acrylics and an extra heavy gel (for a strong impasto effect).
