Octavia's Garden | 48" x 48" x 3" (2021)
This custom piece has 3 inch sides and all eight sides are painted uniquely so the piece pops from all viewing angles, My boyfriend thought to name the piece "Octavia's Garden" and when I looked online "Octavia" means eighth. Great collaboration with the men in my life that I love. This is my first custom shaped acrylic on wood painting in the octagon series; this one-of-kind statement piece has vibrant colours, fierce movement and textures, and a high gloss finish.

My name is Alexandra Romano, I am an artist living and working in Toronto, Canada. My passion is creating eye-catching artworks which include bold colour schemes; vibrant paintings that stand out as a focal point in any space - a conversation piece.
I am an abstract artist, who delights in the freedom of abstraction and the ability to explore impressionism and expressionism. Works are frequently inspired by nature, geometric elements and life all around. I work primarily with acrylics and I enjoy experimenting with oils, ink and spray paint too.
I rely on a natural, intuitive approach while creating my paintings.
I craftily use unorthodox tools and my signature techniques to create texture to give the piece interesting depth and a unique design. I love to experiment and be present during the whole process as I observe each piece come to life, layer by layer; it's my meditation.
