Olivier Horen is a professional painter and photographer. He started to create from his youth by creating characters straight out of his imagination.
It was really in 2003, working in a printing house, that he had the idea of trying out what offset ink gives on a small piece of cardboard. Not disappointed with the result, he continued for 3 years. By dint of testing, he manages to apply it on many different supports.
Addressing particularly the themes of abstraction and portraiture approaching the movement of “free figuration” in his paintings, and scenes of life in black and white in his photographs, his work is distinguished by a new light.
Olivier Horen is a self-taught artist born in 1977. He lives and works in Douai (France). He exhibited at the Lille art gallery (France) Paula Clemence. His work is present in many private collections.
