Odile Chodkiewicz is an artist with very diverse talents. She masters charcoal, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, and especially oil paint for the richness and depth of colors.

Born in a small village in Burgundy, Odile was educated from the age of 3 in a school run by two sisters, teachers very keen on manual activities and drawing. So she had the chance to discover artistic creation very early on in addition to reading and writing. His childhood was also marked by the paintings of a great-grandmother that decorated the family home.

During her secondary studies in the neighboring town, she was encouraged by her teachers for her musical and drawing skills. From this young age she fell in love with the drawings of Jean Cocteau which she discovered by chance.

The chances of life and the concern of the parents for her future, pushed her towards a scientific career which permanently distanced her from what was her true vocation. When she was able to return to painting, she had the concern to acquire a basic training. At the University of Paris VI (Tolbiac) she studied art history and trained in pictorial techniques until obtaining a master's degree in the restoration of easel painting. She also frequented the Beaux Arts workshops in the city of Paris.

Odile also learned a lot by studying the great masters whose works she copied at the Louvre Museum. His copies earned him many compliments including those of Madeleine Hours, then responsible for the restoration of works of art at the Museum.

Odile thinks in colors. From her training as a biologist, she has retained a great sensitivity to nature. The freedom offered by contemporary art, whose production she drinks, leads her to give free rein to her talents as a colorist and her taste for abstraction. Each painting is for her the occasion of a new search for games of colors which translate her emotions.
