Baie St-Paul landscape painted with oil and spatula. Semi-abstait inspired my last trip to Baie-St Paul this fall. We find mountains, wheat fields and tiny ancestral houses colored. My spatula strokes are still as energetic leaving a textured imprint.

Nicole Caron is a contemporary Canadian painter. She finds great inspiration in the representation of light, Quebec landscapes, and flowers. The semi-figurative paintings by Caron are full of texture, light, and density. She hopes to convey via her paintings light, clarity, spontaneity, and most of all a lot of energy. The goal of the artist is to convey to viewers of her paintings her perspective of the beauty of flowers and landscapes combined with a distinctive color composition. She is motivated by the vibrant colors of Armand Tatossian, the bold strokes and distinctive motions of Riopelle, and Marcelle Ferron to develop a personal artistic approach, style, and signature.
