Jean-Claude Ennabli known as “Nabli” was born in Tunisia in 1942. It was in his native country that he attended primary and secondary school. In Tunis he joined the school of fine arts until 1960. In 1961 he arrived in France and enrolled at the Beaux-arts de Montpellier where he obtained his diplomas brilliantly under the guidance of Dezeuze, Descossy, Bessil. In 1964 he enrolled at the famous Paris School of Fine Arts in the workshop of master Legueult in painting and master sculptor Adam. It was in this city made of art that he met Claude Viallat at the birth of the Support-Surface movement as well as the sculptor César. He frequents the artists Alain Roche, Serge Poli, Joël Kermarek, Henri Prosi, Denis Rivière, Gérard Le Cloarec for extraordinary artistic exchanges.
It is also there that he holds his biggest salons such as the autumn one, the Salon de la Jeune Peinture or the Salon des Indépendants, then the Salon des Artistes Français… He will create the popular workshop with a few comrades and artists. In May 1968 he obtained his final diploma which definitively established him as a recognized artist (D.S.A.P: Diplôme Supérieur d’Arts Plastiques).

A series of exhibitions followed, the most prestigious in New York, Paris at the Grand Palais, Céret, Madrid, Nîmes, Arles, Barcelona. He participates in the Toreador project with the artists Nabli, Alberola, Arroyo, Ben, Bioulès, Combas, Erro, Di Rosa, Fromanger, Viallat, Kermarek… and will therefore be exhibited in Nîmes, Arles, Madrid, Ciudad Rodrigo and finally in Seville. Several of his pictorial works have illustrated numerous publications.
