Sans titre N° 01
Muriel Charbonnier is a contemporary French painter. Painting has always held a special place in her life. It all began at the age of 12 when she stumbled upon a paint equipment store in Villefranche in the Rhône. The moment she purchased her first tubes of oil paint, a deep passion was ignited within her. From that point onward, painting became an integral part of her daily existence, permeating every aspect of her life.
During her early twenties, she found herself drawn to figurative art, and for the next three decades, she dedicated herself to creating still lifes and meticulously replicating the works of Dutch painters from the 17th century. However, around the age of 50, a desire for abstraction emerged, bringing with it a profound sense of liberation. It was a true revelation, granting her the freedom to express herself artistically.
As a result, galleries began to embrace her unique style, providing her with opportunities to showcase her work and gain recognition in various locations including Barbizon, Roanne, Beaune, Paris, Switzerland, and Canada.
