Major Art Prize, AWARD Gold category

Moma, became an Artist without realizing it. She started painting in 2009 following a serious skiing accident. It was the portraits that motivated her, because for her, humans are the main subject of her life. Since then, she has multiplied the number of internships and various experiences.

What has fascinated her for some time is a completely new project: it involves mixing mediums, varying supports to achieve successful portraits.

For the moment, she paints in all directions: Pastel, Watercolor, charcoal and graphite and acrylic
oil since 2017.
Moma is very admiring of pastel painters like: Nathalie Picouley, Gisèle Hurtaud, German Aracil, Ruben Belloso, Yuji Sakuma and many others. She admires the "oldies": Degas, Toulouse-Lautrec, Renoir, Marie Cassatt, Berthe Morisot and also the "Fauves: Kees Vandongen

However, for several months, she has been working in her studio and increasing her experiences in order to to acquire her style. What characterizes her is a dynamic and at the same time very soft line, a very daring assortment of colors.

Portraits are her great subject." For me, the essential thing is through the look" she often says
.
She found a unique expression in the portraits of the great photographer Claude Rausch, and in January 2016 she was authorized to paint on his photos for the year 2017.

Moma was born in Morocco in Casablanca in 1950 and was bathed from childhood in the blue of the Atlantic Ocean and the ocher of the Sahara dunes, where her choice of colors.
Her artistic journey began with a dive into colors, without shapes. Then she took drawing classes to be able to achieve her dream: painting portraits and nudes on models alive.

This has been happening since 2015 when she participated in a final workshop with the famous Gwenneth Barth in Feytiat during the Festival.
