Mikaël Falke, born October 13, 1978, is a photographer passionate about the lines, curves, lights and contrasts that shape our cities and our urban environment. Since 1996, he has traveled the streets, boulevards, towers, factories and airports in search of refined and abstract forms. His artistic approach is also interested in town planning and the systems invented by man to organize and inhabit urban space.

Using exclusively reflex, digital (Nikon) and film (Minolta, Canon) cameras, Mikaël captures his images sometimes on a tripod, sometimes freehand. His work has been exhibited on several occasions, notably during a monographic exhibition entitled "Let there be more light | Modern frames in our cities" at the Espace Art Image in Brussels in April-May 2002. He has also participated in multidisciplinary exhibitions such as eMMA in September 2004 and September 2005, where he presented works exploring the theme of absence.

In addition to his personal work on the evolution of Brussels and on architecture, Mikaël has produced portraits for theater actors and has worked on commission for architects, capturing their interior and exterior designs. Since 2006, he has also been responsible for photographing all of the restoration work underway at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels (Bozar).

His commitment as an artist and his unique vision of urban space have earned him international recognition, notably with his participation in the exhibition "Brighton meets Brussels" at the Shunt Lounge in London in April-May 2008.
