The subject of the photo series "Red Zone" was inspired by the aesthetics of the usual fire prevention boards and the safety posters , where the red color always indicates a zone of active consideration, and possible injuries and destructions.On the fire prevention boards the red colour concentrates our view in the extreme situation, as well as because of its sensual activity calls us for the immediate decisive actions. Knowingly the Bolsheviks, whose victory in the Civil War was in no small measure due to the color of their flag, in childhood and adventure literature carefully hushed up the fact that Black Roger was not really black, but red.
In this series red color represents the key point of not the necessarily destructive, but always the highest activity in the interaction of two different media,it marks the first (or the last) screaming in the dialogue of mechanic and organik.
Тема фотосерии"Красная зона"навеяна эстетикой привычных про- тивопожарных щитов и производственных плакатов по технике безопасности,где красный цвет всегда обозначает зону активного внимания,а также возможных травм и разрушений.На пожарных щитах красный концентрирует на себе взгляд в экстремальной ситуации,а также в силу своей сенсуальной активности призывает к немедленному решительному действию.
В этой серии красный цвет обозначает ключевой момент не обязательно разрушительной,но всегда наивысшей активности во взаимодействии двух различных сред,маркирует собой первый (или последний)крик в диалоге механики и органики.

Героями серии ”Оборотни” являются мифологические, религиозные и художественные персонажи, несущие отчётливые протеистические черты. Постоянные метаморфозы, потеря и обретение собственного лица, смена физического облика, исторической и социальной роли, маски или имиджа становятся определяющими в их биографии, формирует вокруг них меняющуюся, текучую игровую среду. Ещё занимаясь энтомологией на биологическом факультете университета, я посвятил много времени изучению полного и неполного метаморфоза у насекомых─ и фотография, с её обаянием документальности, позволяет мне аккумулировать свой научный, театральный и дизайнерский опыт в одной работе. Серия снята на широкую чёрно-белую плёнку и напечатана с тонированием на цветной бумаге, при съёмке я иногда применял мультиэкспозицию, а также вводил в кадр сторонние изображения – графику, научные и технические схемы. Распечатанные на различных носителях (бумага, ткань, прозрачная плёнка) они помогают добиться эффекта коллажности, неожиданного перехода от объёма к плоскости.

Biography
Van O (Ivan Isaev) has been working as an art photographer since 1999. His surrealistic photographs are full of fantasy and surprise with their depth and subtlety.
His work, which focuses on the themes of objects inspired by the aesthetics of destruction and construction, is distinguished by subjective and visionary lighting.
Van O (Ivan Isaev) was born in 1975 in Moscow, Russia, and graduated from the biological faculty of Moscow State University as well as the An. Vasiliev School of Dramatic Art. He worked as an actor in the theaters "Dance-model" and "Mystery of Costume," and as a club designer–creating avant-garde fashion collections such as "200 volt ago or Some aspects of individual luminosity...", "The Circus," and "Viniloplastika." Since 2009, I've been a member of the Russian Union of Art Photographers, and since 2015, he has been a member of the Creative Union of Russian Artists His work can be found in the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, the Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art, and private collections. He won the "Heroes" contest at Marler Kunststern in 2017; the "From Selfie to Self-Expression" contest at Saatchi Gallery in 2017; and the Bio-Art Contest in Seoul in 2018.

Van O (Ivan Isaev) was born at 1975 in Moscow, Russia, graduated the biological faculty of the Moscow State University and the School of dramatic art of An. Vasiliev. He worked as the actor at the theaters "Dance-model" and "Mystery of costume", as the club designer– created the collections of vanguard fashion . Art-photographer since 1999, the member of Russian Union of Art Photographers since 2009 and of the Creative Union of Russian Artists since 2015. Works are in the collections of Russian museum of St. Petersburg, Erarta Museum of contemporary art and private collections. The winner of the "Heroes" contest -Marler Kunststern,2017; prize winner "From Selfie to Self-Expression" contest, Saatchi gallery,2017; prize winner of Bio-Art Contest, Seoul,2018.
