“ She comes from a city in the semi-arid southwestern Bahia, her paintings include the detail of green leaves, the bird life, the color of the flowers when they are there, the shape of the fruit as if they could go directly to the jars of fruit. They are very generous about it.
The untranslatable artist is not merely the relationship between its work and its being – something that really attracted our interest when becomes know personally - but it is also a question of how this happened in its life, what you see here is that start painting this as keeping a sense that it fills. In this case, Rose Fernandes, the signifier “love” seems to make her a brand that is also the engine of her work. Her father was a musician and her mother painted and liked poetry and music, and this drew her attention, as early as five years, the way her mother drew such love that inspired and involved her. The emphasis in loving for the thing that seems to explain, in part, in a dedicated way that the artist prints her work and responsiveness to those who appreciate her work, it’s as if she were there with and through of her work to show above all that – love stated that it would be very corny, but in Rose Fernandes’s work is presented and enough.
Certainly there is this relationship of loving coming from her childhood and how the design is in her painting, it is great, it is taken care of, it is fine. And the colors - that border the faithful of the real - take up the force of the design under them with poignancy in screen space that often show attracted our attention in any environment in which we meet with one of her works.
She was born in Urandi, Bahia, her paintings expressed in absolute detail green leaves, bird life, the color of flowers, the shapes of nature as being born of the screen itself. They show the accuracy and realism. Rose Fernandes is self-taught and only participated in the workshops in Fundação Cultural da Bahia . It is strongly inspired by the fauna and flora of familiar landscapes and human figure that draws with perfection.
At age 13, in the early 80s, she moved to Guanambi, in Bahia, that although the same region, a community crossed by conflicting demands, including the art , it has a reserved place. That's where her dialogue with an audience with a taste for painting becomes evident and received vigorous applause, rather than absolute standing out, eight thousand visitors in a public place in the city in 1993 by local government.
Since then, Rose Fernandes has her works admired in collective and individual exhibitions in Salvador, Bahia, in Piracicaba-SP, Sao Paulo, the capital, including the MASP. Abroad, she has exposed in Mexico, United States, Canada, Germany and France - SNBA - Carroucel do Louvre
