Maria Elisa Borsoi
Maria Elisa Borsoi was born in Vittorio Veneto where since she was a child she experienced a family environment linked to art thanks to her maternal grandfather, Luigi Rossi, of Belluno origins, an established sculptor who already had an atelier in Venice at the turn of the century and her father Agostino , painter and student of Bruno Saetti at the Academy of Fine Arts in the same lagoon city.
Since her adolescence, Maria Elisa has discovered the quiet and reassuring joy of looking around at happy nature and eternalizing it with light through photographic images already full of meaning.
This still unaware beginning for her, over time, would become a constant practice as she herself considered Photography to be one of the most effective tools of communication, made up of symbols and metaphors, aimed at the emotional sphere rather than the rational and verbal one. For Maria Elisa, in fact, photographing means bearing witness, telling, evoking, impressing one's own point of view on the things seen and pursued, it means letting one's gaze go in depth, capturing aspects that escape many, sometimes in search of the truth, sometimes in search of a transfiguration of itself.
