Lokesh G

I Born in 1977, completed his Bachelor FA in 2002 at the Chitrakala Parishath in Bangalore.
It was back in the 12th grade that Lokesh decided my destiny lay in Art and after a spell with an animation company as a ‘character modeller’ decided to follow my ambition and started painting full time in early 2008.
My initial style was with water based colours and then moved on to pallet knife with oils, my present style is unique, his work is completed with as minimum strokes as possible using a fusion of watercolours, poster, ink and acrylic mediums.
The latest series is based on the ‘mannequin’ but don’t think the work is static, energy, vitality, movement are words that come to mind.
My previous work with the pallet knife was a lot ‘darker’ and although Lokesh is fond of his earlier style , I like the ‘force’, ‘subtle strength’ and ‘power’ than comes through in the latest work.
