An Artist residing in Miller Place, New York, Melissa has earned a B.A from Plattsburgh State University in sociology/Human Services and a B.A. from Stony BrookUniversity in Studio Art and Art History. Her work has been displayed at various galleries located throughout New York and may also be found in numerous private collections throughout the U.S.. Recent works can be found exhibited atThe White Room Gallery in Bridgehampton NY and Saphira & Ventura Gallery in 2019. Melissa currently owns and operates MDH CREATIVE ENTERPRISE, a studio in Miller Place, New York with a satellite studio in Bellport, New York. As an instructor of paintingMelissa offers instructional studio sessions designed for both the beginner and experienced artist alike. Individualized art instruction, critiquing, and great artistic dialogue and community are offered. In this setting, the student experiences great ‘Art Experience’ at an affordable rate. Melissa serves as a Brookhaven Arts and Humanities council board Member and had served as President of the NorthShore Art Guild for several years. In doing so she was in part responsible for coordinating the display of Art throughout several venues, coordinating annual juried and membership shows, and organizing instructional demonstrations. She has acted as a juror for both landscape exhibits and figure and faces exhibits. Melissa is also a member of the various local arts organizations and acts as Art Agent for several local artists exhibiting at private facilities where she curates the exhibits.
