I was inspired to create this painting after seeing a photo of an old pub window in an article about Ireland. I found the simplicity of it's design, but the complexity of the colors interesting.

I how people who view this piece see it as a fun design that will enhance the space they decide to hang it. It isn't signed on the front (on the edge) so it can be hanged horizontally or vertically. No framing is necessary.

As a young child I was always drawing and painting.  Most of my creations were in the area of cartooning. When I was in high school, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I began creating art work that I began selling.[...]

As a young child I was always drawing and painting.  Most of my creations were in the area of cartooning. When I was in high school, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I began creating art work that I began selling.  Due to my cartooning background most of the work I sold was figurative paintings and drawings of clowns and sports figures.  This work continued through my college time.  Once I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee I entered the business world and shortly thereafter began raising my family. As a result I completely stepped away from my creative abilities and passions.  After a 40-year career in the business world I retired in 2017 and returned to my earlier endeavors in the creative arts; including painting, drawing and writing.  
My wife and I have been married for 45+ years and we have two wonderful adult sons, a beautiful daughter-in-law and two very special grandchildren.
