BOULOGNE Maurice
Introduced to drawing from his childhood by his father, it was around the age of 20 that Maurice Boulogne was struck by the painting bug. Visiting museums and art centers in France and abroad, browsing exhibitions and media libraries, exploring the major artistic movements of art history, he will do his apprenticeship by choosing his masters, Manet, Cézanne, Gauguin, Van Gogh... also drawing his inspiration from the ancients (Vélazquez, Goya, Greco) and the contemporaries, Bacon, Paladino, Garouste, Baselitz, Kacimi, Dilasser.
Wishing to deepen his technique, he took painting courses at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Lille in 1982 and 1983, then sculpture courses at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Douai in 1984. He also took engraving courses. at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tournai (Belgium) between 2007 and 2010.
Favoring cultural exchanges, seeking to renew his inspiration and compare his techniques, he travels to Germany, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Great Britain, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Senegal meeting other artists.
Participates in numerous personal and collective exhibitions in France, particularly in Paris (Salon d'Automne in 1979 and 1987, Salon des Indépendants in 1981, Salon de Mai in 1989) and abroad.
