I was born in Antigua Guatemala, a very beautiful city full of history and culture.
Surrounded by mountains and three imposing volcanoes.
He studies Architecture, ecology and philosophy. He worked for a long time in furniture factories as a draftsman. Then I lived in Spain and discovered painting, which I learned to love as a rich means of expression.
I returned to Guatemala and began to work doing different types of works, towards small sculptures with different materials, I made several exhibitions. Then I continued investigating the work of painters that I was passionate about, such as Vicente Rojo, Basquiat, Picasso, Merida, Joaquin Torres and others who filled me with incomparable joy.
My work is a constant search, I struggle to overcome my own criticisms, I have a strong inclination for geometry, textures and the use of different techniques within the same work.
I have done many Graphic Design jobs, especially Logo design.
I work doing murals which I am really passionate about and love, it is a means to give color and warmth to gray and cold spaces.
In my work I involve everything that leads me to reflection and questions at the same time; beauty, geometry, texture, and poetry are ways to describe some works.
My desire for my art to reach many people is one of my main sources of inspiration, I do not believe in easy art, everything that is great and that leaves a mark takes time. I dedicate part of my day to researching how to overcome the transition from desire to creativity and create a message that is an impulse for others.
Guatemala is part of that impulse, a country affected by a violent history, full of positive and negative contrasts, it is an engine of desire for change, it is a mixture of colors and a wonderful legacy that the Mayas carry within us, their geometry, their Art as a whole surpasses our understanding and comes to influence us whether we want to or not because its strength comes from beyond, which is the greatness of Humanity and Artistic creation.
