Ce tableau est une pièce unique réalisée à partir d'un échantillon de papier peint datant des années 1970. Je considère ma matière première, ces pièces de papiers peints - la plupart totalement introuvables aujourd'hui - comme des trésors. Je les délimite, je les découpe, je les cisèle avec émotion et un soin quasi religieux. Je sais que je n'aurais pas la chance de travailler deux fois la même pièce.
My work reflects my passion for flowers and old wallpapers which patterns and colors conveniently matches modern homes playing with colors, textures and epochs.
This piece is unique and made from a french wallpaper sample dating from the 1970s. I consider the wallpaper pieces I work with as treasures that I delimit, cut, chisel with vivid emotion and a quasi-religious care. I know I wont get the chance to work on the same piece twice

Marylin Mathon réalise ses toiles dans son atelier provençal.
Elle se passionne très jeune pour la peinture, travaille d’abord l’aquarelle puis l’huile avant de privilégier l’acrylique et les techniques mixtes. Elle s’inspire de la nature en premier lieu mais également des arts décoratifs de la période art-déco et des années 30 à 70 (motifs, tissus, graphisme).
