Maria Caldeira (mc pintura decorativa)

(EN) She is Portuguese, born in Angola (1951) and resident in Cascais (Lisbon) 

With an academic degree in Languages, a professional experience in Marketing, a full personal and family life, after publishing a book in 2015, in early 2018 she decides to take up paints, brushes and canvases and looks for a safe place in painting for the retirement that get closer ! 

From here, she attends some classes that give her the basics of techniques and materials and in February 2019  she ventures to participate in the 1st collective exhibition "Re-Começos"  at Arquitectamus -  Arquitecture and Interior Design. 

Over the course of five years, she dedicated herself to creating textures, combining colors, looking for techniques and influences, either by attending face-to-face or video classes or by studying renowned painters or by insisting on practising.. practising..insisting! 

In October 2022 she participates in the 2nd collective exhibition "SpiralArt" in Carcavelos, Cascais and in November she is accepted to present three works in the virtual exhibition "Felicity" organized by the Capital Culture House of Madrid. 

She is located in the abstract, and her paintings are works of chance, in expressive brushstrokes where colors and tones lead to a glimpse of a real world and an imaginary one.
