The main theme of the artist's work is the landscapes of her native land and southern picturesque regions. During her journeys, Maria creates a series of paintings reflecting the landscapes of France, Montenegro, and Italy.
Relying on impressionism in her work, the artist adds decorativeness to the painting style with the help of acrylic paints, which reflects a fresh look at the landscape as a whole and allows to create her personal style. Having mastered the technique of acrylic and painting a la prima, the author reflects on the canvas fleeting phenomena of nature . Maria often resorts to impasto to produce special three-dimensional effects and to make the canvas texture rich. Sometimes paints are mixed not on the palette, but already on the canvas to obtain the desired result.
