The Woman and the Light is the art exhibition title introduced by the artist,in which she intend to trace the inside thread that crosses the developments of her painting toward her actual style. The passage from the scenery themes, desolate, crossed by a measured restlessness, to a inner vision of psychological order, that
confer strength to image and allows to go over the visible.
In the solitary landscapes, in the reserve of anxious atmospheres, come in a first moment to insert female figures, at first perfectly integrated in the surrounding nature, subsequently isolated on essential or monochrome backgrounds, crossed only by the shiver of internal symbols.
In the last artist production, the female figure becomes only protagonist, situated on an ideal threshold, suspended between an temporal "here" and an metaphysical "elsewhere", captured in the simplicity of her daily attitudes, but with that amazement proper of the to look at the things as if it were the first time.

Biografia
Margherita Fascione è nata a Rocca d' Evandro. Si è laureata in Filosofia, presso l’ Istituto Universitario Orientale di Napoli, proseguendo con un ciclo di studi sull’ Estetica e teoria delle arti, presso l’ Istituto Suor Orsola Benincasa. Da sempre in bilico tra l’ amore misurato per il sapere e il bisogno di slancio vitale, avvertendo l’esigenza di un’applicazione pratica delle speculazioni teoriche, scopre a poco a poco che l’arte svolge un ruolo essenziale nella sua vita, “un supplemento metafisico alla realtà posta accanto ad essa per superarla”. Affinata la tecnica dell’olio e dell’uso del colore presso gli studi di valenti artisti, ha partecipato ad importanti rassegne d' arte nazionali ed estere, conseguendo riconoscimenti e premi significativi. Nell’ultima produzione dell’artista la donna diviene unica protagonista, sospesa tra un “qui reale e un altrove metafisico”, narrata con risvolti autobiografici, o calata nell’universalità del mito. Le sue opere figurano in varie collezioni private e in importanti pinacoteche italiane ed estere; esse sono inoltre fruibili sui suoi siti personali ( e margheritafascione), recensiti e segnalati dai maggiori portali d’arte italiani e internazionali.
Recentemente ha conseguito una seconda laurea in Lettere classiche.

I began to paint on canvas ever since I was a young girl
through a spontaneous act and with an intense passion for using oils,
all this without ever having had previous contacts with any form of art, as if my desire to create, to give colour, originated from an irresistible and irrepressible act of the mind.
I have unexpectedly stopped painting for a number of years, for no apparent or particular reasons, to then take it up again soon after I graduated, perhaps to fill an existing emptiness or perhaps simply because I was inspired by my encounter with the impressionist style of painting. I am a self-taught artist propelled by my love for art,
undisciplined in my creative rush, discontinuous in my creative vein, still in search of my artistic imprint.
I have no pretexts for being technically perfect; I love to paint and I love what I paint, and if through my works I succeed in transmitting positive emotions to people, I could not be happier.
