I was born in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A. in 1954. From the very beginning I was interested in art. As a child, I scribbled images on cardboard boxes whose identity I alone knew. I later developed an interest in traveling and visited Europe and Great Britain several times, as history there is better preserved than it is here in America. I feel that traveling anywhere, even to a new location in your native city, is an education and experience. Most of my paintings involve people in some way. I like paintings that tell a story, and the best way to get a viewer to identify with your painting is to bring other humans into it. The settings may vary, but the human figure has always been my main source of inspiration.
