The 2022 National Beard and Moustache Championships had some amazing facial hair sculptures.

Some men take the art of growing and taking care of a beard and mustache very seriously. So seriously, in fact, that every year there is a contest for the best facial hair. The winners of the 2022 Honest Amish National Beard and Moustache Championships, which took place on November 12 in Casper, Wyoming, have been announced.

Jono Gross's mustache won Best in Show, and it's easy to see why. The ends of his strawberry-blonde mustache were curled into perfect circles. But it looked like there was a lot of competition. People with facial hair showed them off in four main categories: mustaches, partial beards, full beards, and craft. People with woven beards and even sculptures made of things other than hair were also there. Sommer Hibbler used coils, springs, and chains to make a steampunk-style piece. In the craft category, she won first place for the amazing thing she made.

The competition in 2022 may have broken a world record as well. During the event, people stood next to each other and clipped their beards together, making a 150-foot-long beard chain. If the Guinness World Records accepted it, it would be more than twice as long as the current record for the longest beard chain, which was set in Germany in 2007 and is 62 feet and 6 inches long.
