An Event That Brings Art Within Everyone’s Reach
After the great success of its inaugural edition in 2024, the Affordable Art Fair Berlin returns for its second edition in June 2025, reaffirming itself as an unmissable event for contemporary art lovers. Taking place in the heart of the German capital, the fair will host over 60 local, national, and international galleries, offering a diverse and dynamic selection of artworks accessible to all.
The Affordable Art Fair stands out for its inclusive philosophy: every artwork on display will be priced between €100 and €10,000, making the purchase of unique pieces possible for a wide and varied audience. The goal is to democratize the art market, bringing new collectors and enthusiasts closer to talented galleries and artists in a dynamic and stimulating environment.
With more than 60 participating galleries, the fair will provide a comprehensive overview of the contemporary art scene. The mix of local and international exhibitors will allow visitors to discover emerging trends, established artists, and fresh talents, featuring high-quality works ranging from painting to photography, sculpture to installations.
More than just an art fair, the Affordable Art Fair Berlin integrates seamlessly into the city’s vibrant cultural fabric, reinforcing Berlin’s role as a global artistic hub. With parallel events, artist meet-ups, and interactive activities, the fair becomes a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the world of contemporary art in an engaging and accessible atmosphere.
Emerging Artists: The Future of Art Takes Shape at Affordable Art Fair Berlin 2025
Continuing its mission to support emerging talent, Affordable Art Fair Berlin 2025 provides a curated platform for young artists to exhibit their work and gain recognition among collectors and art lovers. Since 2012, the fair has promoted the Emerging Artists project, an initiative conceived by Fair Director Oliver Lähndorf to offer visibility to young artists not yet represented by a gallery. Over the past twelve years, this exhibition has become a reference point at Affordable Art Fair Hamburg, playing a crucial role in launching careers and building essential connections in the complex contemporary art world.
For the 2025 Berlin edition, the Emerging Artists exhibition will once again serve as a springboard for the next generation of artists. This initiative provides a valuable opportunity for young creatives to gain visibility and appreciation in an international context.
Alongside the Emerging Artists section, Affordable Art Fair Berlin 2025 will bring together numerous galleries from different European cities, ensuring a diverse and stimulating artistic panorama. Among this year’s standout participants are 94/97 Gallery from The Hague, AFFENFAUST GALERIE from Hamburg, ALL YOU CAN ART from Munich, and ARTITLEDContemporary from Herpen. Also featured are ATM Gallery Berlin, Anquins Gallery from Barcelona, Art_020 from Amsterdam, and Artnow Gallery from Berlin, all contributing to making the fair a dynamic space for exchange and discovery.
Another must-visit attraction will be the Art Under €1000 Wall, a dedicated display featuring artworks priced under €1000, offering the perfect opportunity for those looking to start an art collection in an accessible way.
Vierge Marie au K-Way (2022) Painting by Umo Masada.
The conversation surrounding affordable and emerging contemporary art is enriched by the works of three outstanding artists from ArtMajeur, whose creations embody the diversity and dynamism of today’s art world.
Umo Masada, a contemporary painter based in France, brings a unique fusion of street art and pop culture into his work. Inspired by video games, films, TV series, and traditional art, his paintings oscillate between vivid realism and stylized abstraction. His piece "Vierge Marie au K-Way" (2022) reflects his ability to blend striking contrasts, using vibrant colors and dynamic brushstrokes to create a visually compelling portrait. Born in Papua New Guinea in 1977, Masada now lives and works in France, where he has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions across the country.
Clic Clac (2020) Collages by Maxl.
Another artist pushing creative boundaries is Maxime Ledieu, known as MaxL, a multidisciplinary French visual artist who draws inspiration from pop art, comics, cinema, and rock music. His work often explores the tension between innocence and violence, color and movement, incorporating recycled materials such as soda and beer cans. His mixed-media collage "Clic Clac" (2020), based on a photograph by Alex Korolkovas, exemplifies his innovative approach. Using cutouts from Coca-Cola cans, acrylic paint, acid treatments for rust effects, and a final layer of epoxy resin, MaxL transforms everyday materials into striking artistic statements. Born in 1973, he continues to challenge artistic conventions through his fusion of repurposed materials and bold imagery.
Honey lips (2013) Photography by Lídia Vives.
Spanish photographer and visual artist Lídia Vives offers a deeply evocative and symbolic approach to contemporary photography. Her work has been featured in prestigious publications such as Esquire and Vogue Italia, and she has exhibited in major galleries, art fairs, and museums, including the Louvre in Paris. Her piece "Honey Lips" (2013) presents a mesmerizing composition: a young woman with piercing blue eyes and freckles gazes at the viewer while a bee delicately rests on her lips, drawn to the golden honey that coats them. Inspired by Marilyn Monroe’s iconic lips, as photographed by Irving Penn, this image explores the delicate balance between human beauty and nature, capturing a fleeting yet profound connection. Born in Spain in 1991, Vives is known for her Renaissance and Baroque-inspired photographic compositions, where she integrates hidden details to invite deeper engagement from viewers.

For those passionate about art books, stand G4 will feature a curated selection by Bücherbogen, a renowned bookstore and cultural space offering books, catalogs, and theoretical essays covering various artistic movements and historical periods.
One of the biggest highlights of this year’s edition is the inclusion of the famous Badeschiff, an outdoor pool and beach bar, which will become an integral part of the fair for two special evenings. This iconic Berlin location will transform into a vibrant meeting point for artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts, merging contemporary art with a relaxed summer atmosphere. More details about this event will be announced soon.
