Flamme (2018) Sculpture by Ludovik Bost Totems Cambium-Même

Ludovik BOST (TOTEMS Cambium itself) creates two types of wooden sculptures.

Small totems carved in workshops, using traditional mechanical and manual tools, to adorn your living room , and much larger sculptures, mainly with chainsaws, for outdoors on stumps, on feet or on logs (without the roots).
Wood, for him, much more than a material, is indeed a living material which, after having been able to stimulate its inspiration, continues to tell the story of the life of the tree... And it takes pleasure in helping it tell it to you by giving life to the dead tree.

"In Lyon, my hometown, after a stint in mechanics, at the Edouard Branly high school, I will prefer the building where I discovered, among other things, woodworking (furniture), up to the BT "execution of works" at the La Martinière Montplaisir high school.
I continued my path in Dijon, in DNAT at the National School of Fine Arts; before realizing that the mixture of everything that fascinates me (technical and artistic) is found in architectural studies. Spending a year in Romania, at the “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urban Planning in Bucharest, I discovered traditional wooden architecture and understood the work of the sculptor Constantin BRANCUSI much better.
C This is surely why after my architect diploma, I migrated to Epinal to prepare a master's degree in wood and construction at ENSTIB, the national higher school of wood techniques and industries, and then became a trainer in wood and construction. wood construction for the CNDB (national committee for the development of wood), after having actively participated in the establishment of training "modules" for architects.

At the same time, I have a construction activity architect and model maker (wood), which gave me several opportunities to work for artists like Alexandre Périgot and Daniel BUREN, bringing a technical touch.

During these years, I taught drawing and construction at ENSAPM, the national higher school of architecture of Paris-Malaquais and "morphostructure" at ENSAD, the school of Decorative Arts, ENSAPV, the national higher school of architecture of the city and territories in Marne-la-Vallée, or, more recently, in a PRO License at the University of Valence, at UPMC, Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris..."
