Dans le domaine de l’image, la peinture représente pour moi l’art absolu. Elle est comme une ouverture sur le monde spirituel qui habite la nature. De ce fait, elle parle directement à l’esprit de celui qui la regarde sans passer par la compréhension, elle est une affaire d’intuition et échappe au raisonnement.
Dans mes réalisations, j’essaie toujours de faire transparaître une sorte de vérité profonde qui bouscule l’esprit. Les couleurs, la lumière, la matière s'assemblent dans des paysages pour susciter l'évasion et la liberté, toutes deux corrélées au désir d'un monde rêvé, fantasmé.
Je veux provoquer une sensation d’attraction vers la nature, l’inconnu, le mystère, l’onirisme. Pour moi la nature est symbole, elle est sacrée et porte en elle les traces de quelque chose qui la dépasse et qui parle à cette partie de nous-même que nous partageons avec elle.
J’essaie, à travers différentes recherches plus ou moins abstraites, de peindre la frontière qui lie l’homme à la nature et l’en sépare à la fois. J’essaie de peindre la présence passée et à venir, l’empreinte, le passage, la présence et l’absence du temps.
Mon but est de générer une contemplation interrogative, de figer le temps et d’induire une ambiance suggérée par la face cachée des éléments, y compris dans les paysages urbains traités comme des sites naturels plutôt que comme des créations humaines.
J’aime l’idée que la peinture rend meilleur celui qui la regarde grâce à l’émotion qu’elle lui transmet.
