Luca Azzurro is a young artist who works in Pandino, he attended the artistic high school in Crema, later, motivated by his passion for figurative art, several courses in Milan and Cremona, where he particularly studied advertising graphics and visual communication at the NABA University "New Academy of Fine Arts in Milan". He has to his credit several solo and group exhibitions that have led him to exhibit in Rome, Pavia, Novara, Piacenza, Palermo, Florence, Crema and other Italian cities. In 2018 he joined an initiative called "Art of the new millennium" with two works that are archival copies of Vittorio Sgarbi. In 2019 he was awarded the First Prize in the Carlo Fayer competition, some of his works are published in contemporary art catalogs nationwide.
Luca's painting is clearly marked by the contemporary, which draws on the second half of the twentieth century, in particular on Street-Art, and Pop-Art. But not only that, he is also attentive to sculpture and architecture. There are several works by him depicting urban landscapes with aerial views and from below in which he expresses his personal style, use of color and gestures that denote the beginning of an autonomous path, while referring to consolidated artistic currents. Also interesting are the portraits of him inspired by Pop-Art and Pollock's Dripping, which are not pure quotationism, but we note the desire to appropriate language to express himself in a personal way. His intimate subjects, depicting rural landscapes and animals, denote a good technique and mastery of the pictorial language.
He himself says: "I paint because I like to paint, various painters inspire me, from any artistic movement or from any historical period, perhaps more attached to the greatest exponents of the art of the twentieth century"
In recent years Luca deepens his painting dedicating himself to the depiction of pylons, light poles and telephone wires, this because in addition to experimenting with new representations with increasingly graphic colors and lines, he conceptually combines the importance of the subject which is a vital source in today's world. .

“I started by chance to paint a trellis and the more I painted, the more I realized how important they are in our society, but despite this they go unnoticed by people and yet we are surrounded by them. It is assumed that it is not a very interesting or particularly beautiful subject to represent.
All this makes me want to paint them more and more ”.

Luca is a growing artist, able to speak his own language in the varied world of contemporary art and able to tell the contemporary world with his painting.
