Alain Louiset, a contemporary French artist, was born in the picturesque coastal town of Sainte-Adresse, Normandy, France in 1964. Raised amidst the serene landscapes of Normandy, Louiset's early years were infused with the essence of the region's rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.

Following his passion for art, Louiset eventually settled in Le Havre, where he both lives and works to this day. Le Havre, with its bustling harbor and vibrant city life, became not only his home but also a profound source of inspiration for his artistic endeavors.

At the core of Louiset's artistic oeuvre lies his fascination with the pop rock culture of the '60s and '70s, which he seamlessly integrates into his work. Drawing inspiration from iconic figures such as Andy Warhol, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, and David Bowie, Louiset skillfully sculpts evocative representations that capture the essence of an era defined by its revolutionary spirit and creative dynamism.

For his series "Cut Container" everything began when he was trapped in traffic behind a container truck, and the colorful metal box fascinated him, and he recognized the container could be a perfect foundation for his works. The artist calls it "obsessive compulsive container", and his unique technique is cutting PVC and metal from recovery on containers in order to make paintings, 3D portraits.
