A young, half-naked woman in a Santa Claus hat, tied across her chest with a red bow like a Christmas present, sits on the floor under a huge Christmas tree decorated with red and gold balls; surrounded by wrapped gifts, teddy bears and red pillows. Red and gold tinsel pours down from above. Festive makeup floated, a confused smile on her face. The corporate holiday is in full swing, but somehow, it's not fun anymore. Expectations of the holiday were much more colorful and fantastic than a real event, and what was supposed to change life overnight into a fairy tale turned out to be just another illusion. And you're just a “gift” that will be unpacked and forgotten the next day…

Gouache

The substances are diluted with water and rendered pasty and opaque by the addition of gum and honey. The colors become opaque and can, therefore, be superimposed, which makes one paint with gouache as with oil. The gouache is recommended by its bright, fresh and delicate tones.

Graphite

Black and white drawing made with a pencil, an instrument made of a small wooden stick used as a sheath for a graphite mine of the same length.

Figurative and colorful painting having taken the liberty of including all forms of art without border of cultural genre and geographic origin, without hierarchy of values between high and subculture.

Technic Drawing

Drawing is a technique of visual representation on a flat support. The term "drawing" designates both the action of drawing, the resulting graphic work, and the shape of any object. It is also a representation on a surface of the shape (and possibly the light and shadow values) of an object or figure, rather than their color. There are a large number of drawing techniques: “Linear drawing” represents objects by their outlines, edges and some characteristic lines; beyond this limit, the drawing develops by representing the volume by shadows, often by means of hatching, incorporates colors, and joins, without clear transition, the painting.

Natalie Levkovska

Lithuania

Natalie Levkovska is an experienced Lithuanian painter and illustrator. In 1995, she obtained a degree in stone, bone and wood processing from a master artist (Abramtsevo College of Applied Arts), and in 1999 she completed a degree in costume design (Vilnius Academy of Arts). She then became a costume designer for the cinema industry, and later a fur designer. In 2006, she decided to change her life: she moved to London to work in a design studio, and started to experiment oil painting.

She creates simple and poetic artworks, mixing surrealism and naive art. Her artistic universe is a kind of magic realism: she likes to show real life objects and try to bring out the magical pulsation of space. The plots of her creations are taken from her life: a birch glade near her house at different times of the year, the portrait of a loved one, her village in the snow...

Natalie Levkovska have organized 19 personal exhibitions, participated in a lot of paintings and drawings events, and her drawings can be found in many private collections.
