Paco Ibañez Prieto
At the end of the year 97, I finished a painting course. Being working I had little free time to dedicate to painting, I could only paint on vacation and on weekends, in the 80s I began to paint with more regularly, and in '97 after my early retirement is when I really began to paint more frequently. My favorite style is impressionism, using oil, I prepare the stretchers, fabrics and frames myself. I had no idea how difficult this world of painting was, with the joys of opening an exhibition, the difficulty of selling and for me the sadness of disassembling, to start over and thus continue in this world with everything that It entails joys, difficulties, illusions and meeting new people that if it were not for this world I would not grant and that most of the time they are good people.
After doing a canvas preparation workshop and working with acrylic paint with the painter and sculptor Antonio Parras, I permanently left oil and only painted with acrylic.
I have had 5 individual exhibitions, in La Romana, in Aspe, 2 in Novelda and one in Alicante in the Spanish café of the arts, group exhibitions I have participated in all those organized by Pinosart and the Association of Alicante Artists. Lately as a member of Grupo Estilos we have exhibited in La Romana, at the Elda Footwear Museum, at the Ateneo de Alicante and at the Corte Ingles.
As you can see lately I'm trying to paint something personal in a cubist style, without leaving impressionism.

Article
