Yasmine Belchener, known as Yabé, has lived and worked in Brittany since 2005.

With a university education in literature and art history in Lausanne, his passion for the French language and his precision in the handling of the verb will lead him to work in the world of the press and journalism, in translation (French-German , then German-French), or to teach German in business.

She has always photographed; and will end up giving up the letters for the image in 2000. His gaze captures with as much requirement the details and the mood of the seaside landscapes as the silence in the intimacy of nature. She also excels in showing us the animal figure with rare sensitivity, producing series of animal portraits that are neither naturalist photography nor documentary photography, but rather intimate photography, such as the 'we capture the portrait of his loved ones. His series of PorCtraits will be hailed from 1999 as part of the Mois Bis de la Photo in Paris and in 2003 at the Lefor Openo gallery (Paris).

In her more recent series of flowers (Coralis) and waterways (Aqua lumina), she goes as far as abstraction, with images of a poetic vagueness which are for the most part a pure play of shapes and colours.

Today she presents her work mainly in Brittany, in private and public places.
