Catherine Lesueur is a contemporary French artist. 

Her sources of inspiration are found in everyday life. Her portraits and the myths she addresses take in ovoid shapes in general. The gesture is always made out of instinct. Symbols of Creation are, in a sense, the extra soul that gives life to Catherine Lesueur's works, because the pleasure of looking is also to flush out the hidden things that emerge from a work, to comprehend the amazing osmosis of the earth, the artist, the material and the hand.

Catherine Lesueur was born in 1955, in France. She won the Silver medal of the Academy of Arts, Sciences and Letters, Paris, in 2001.
