Karima Cresp is a self-taught artist who has evolved according to her curiosities and passions. Having opened her eyes to the creations of her father, a leather craftsman, she became interested very early in the geometric patterns and shapes of embroidery which transformed, as if by magic, any leather item into a unique product.
After being introduced and then familiarized with portraits and landscapes, first with charcoal, colored pencils then painting, she discovered a real passion for abstract paintings and drawings. In her works, she refuses to bend to a style and advocates her instinct and her sense of aesthetics.
Today, the artist does not hesitate to mix and experiment with various tools and techniques. His favorite terrain, black paper on which lively and brilliant colors become luminous. She juggles with geometric shapes, Berber and artisanal motifs inspired by the culture of her country of birth, Morocco.
