Dominique Ganiage est une sculptrice française. Elle a étudié avec Véronique Jestin, élève d'Etienne Martin, et Indra Milo. Elle travaille quasi exclusivement la terre, brute ou patinée, pour sa dimension essentielle, plastique et indocile, comme son caractère prométhéen. Son style est éloigné des courants, mais on en retient des résonnances avec les mondes de Bourdelle et d’Ousmane Sow. Jamais lisse, en écho à un monde qui ne l’est pas, il est marqué par la permanence de la trace de la touche, l’énergie de l’élan créatif premier, l’ombre et la lumière. Animée par le souci d’aller à l’essentiel et de trouver les traits profonds qui vont donner vie à l’œuvre, elle cherche à rendre compte d’un monde âpre mais humain.
