I am always watching for the amazing beauty in nature. Capturing those precious and fleeting moments with my camera is my constant goal so that I might always remember that moment by painting it from my own perspective and in my own way. I love oils and paint in layers, never shying away from the beautiful details. Water attracts my eye immediately and often offers me a new challenge on how to make the viewer feel like they are standing there with me sharing the scene that caught my eye.
I began working on aluminum (white on-white diabond) 3 years ago after taking 2 classes with Master Painter/Art historian David Dunlop. I love the exciting new challenge. I am a more realistic painter and enjoy that the aluminum forces me to explore and approach painting on it in a new way.
