Born in Toulouse in 1962, Marc LASSERRE spent some fifteen years in the Paris region, where he exhibited his work notably on the Champs-Elysées and in the Latin Quarter. He then set up his studio in Marseille, then today in the Verdon region, where he has withdrawn from the big cities.
This artist first came to art through photography, then through wood sculpture. Painting only came to him in the 2000s. Now listed by Drouot cotation and featured in the famous AKOUN dictionary, Marc Lasserre's work focuses on lyrical abstraction, influenced by the works of Franco-Chinese painter ZAO WOU-KI.
