Since she can remember, Livia Krasting has always been fascinated by colours and shapes – two dear friends that enabled to create her own reality, be it with a brush or a pencil.

Livia Krasting started out with drawings in her earliest youth until one day a friend of her suggested she should try painting with oil. After initial hesitations and doubts as to her abilities, she has now discovered the immense pleasure of this medium and the possibilities it provides her with.

Born on June10th, 1970 in Iasi, Romania, this meant that she grew up in a communist environment and to become an artist – especially a non-conformist one – was deeply frowned upon . Thus, she first studied Law at the University in Bucharest. However, she kept developing her style during her spare, as to draw and to paint is a passion she cannot live without.

About two years ago, she finally decided to dedicate her full time to painting as this is the one thing that really makes her happy and fulfills her completely. This led to her first very own vernissage (in Brasov) and the sales of her paintings to art collectors in Romania, Germany, Holland and Austria.

Furthermore, due to her artistic eye that doesn’t stop at paintings, and her sense for colors, space and trends, she was asked to do some interior decoration as well as some window decoration for designer shops such as Diesel, Calvin Klein, Troussardi, Levi’s, and Rifle.

She was selected to exhibit at the 2009 Florence Biennale and to insert one of her artworks in International Moder Art Catalog.
