The sculpture is casted in a bronze, in limited edition of 10. The base is made of painted sapele wood. The sculpture holds in a hand small piece of mountain crystal, the natural mineral rock from Brazil. Effugere in latin means escape. Running man, holding with care the rock, the preciouse, escaping ... The crystal itself is the main the element of the whole compossition. Impeccable purity and strong shine have made it often equated with a diamond. Is it real escape? Is it kind of robery or rather metaphor of inner escape -selfisolation and the effort of protection of pureness, values and beauty. Dynamic compossision, shaky balance, vaiety of angles and directions, deformed human bodies and connection bronzes with other materials, like glass, rocks or stones, became Koclęga's recognizable sculpture language.

Tomasz Koclęga is a figurative sculptor from Poland. For many years he was focused on outdoor sculptures, but in recent years, small bronze sculptures became his new and very liked way of expression. In his works he used to combine the classical bronzes with additional materials, like glass, stones or gold - which are playing an important role in his sculptures, as attributes. His works, usually distinctly acting via gestures and dynamic poses are very well recognized. His universal visual language reached people across the world.

The work of Tomasz Koclęga is focused on human nature with its desires, emotions, opportunities and dreams. This fascination determines the area of his work, expressed above all by figurative sculpture. A perfect sense of form enables viewers to explore and discover the truth about man. The emotional and intellectual content is condensed in deformed human bodies that are silent gestures that become an alphabet of expressing universal values.

Its achievements include monumental sculptures in public spaces, permanently installed on three continents. They are exhibited, among others, in Saint Louise (USA), New Delhi, Chandighar (India), Vilnius (Lithuania), Zlin (Czech Republic) as well as in Bytom, Rybnik and Katowice (Poland).

Koclęga has presented his works all over the world: in the USA, Japan, India, China, Great Britain, France, Russia, Belgium, Germany, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Austria, Finland, Italy , Slovakia, the Czech Republic and many Polish cities. He has received numerous awards at the largest and most important international snow sculpture competitions: The Bronze Award in Harbin, China (2015); The Best Creativity Award in Harbin, China (twice: 2014 and 2016); The Fourth Prize in Sapporo, Japan (twice: 2015, 2017); Award of Nayoro City in Nayoro, Japan (2016) and The Audience Award in Krasnoyarsk, Russia (2017).

He was born 1968 in Poland, where he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. His works can be found in many art collections around the world.
