First of all, I am trying to give a certain allure to my works and I think that my stamp is very related to the approach of light and to the treatment of light in painting. I am fascinated by the plastic configurations that receive a certain value due to an intensity of light. I am interested in this ephemeral that we encounter around us.
I am very much influenced by the perennial reality and I feel inspired by contemplating walls in worn areas, looking at cracked sidewalks, rusty metal fences. There is an absolutely fascinating plasticity in these areas and I try to model them in my paintings; my art has elements and many structures, terramorphs discovered in these personal routes which I sometimes record and photograph it, because the details are easy to forget. Kloska Ovidiu is a contemporary Romanian artist. His visual language relates with dreams, unconsciousness, delirium, hallucination, with the change of shape and light, with the spontaneous, illusion, bizarre, abnormal and normal.
Ovidiu is working with different mediums including painting, photography and sculpture. His dramatic acrylic on canvas paintings are reminiscent of magnificent artists like John Martin and J.M.W Turner. Meanwhile, his iron sculptors are abstract, industrial works that he categorizes as belonging to the brutalism and deconstructivism stylistic approaches.
