Biography
Karina Antonczak, a contemporary Polish painter, engages in the visual exploration of space, driven by its personal and therapeutic value. Her creative process delves into the realm of envisioning nature purely for the sake of her imagination—a means to encounter the expanse of the horizon and the vast, unoccupied realms. The paintings she produces adopt open, symmetrical compositions, their continuity disrupted by the introduction of a singular detail. These compositions emerge as residual images infused with a touch of melancholy and a sentimentality that pays homage to nature's grandeur.
Within her work, she endeavors to construct a medium that serves as a conduit for the transfer of energy—a reflection akin to the tranquility encountered on the tranquil surface of a lake.
