Jorge Braga was born in Esposende, a small seaside town in the North of Portugal.
From an early age his writings stood out and earned him several awards in writing competitions. He was a contributor to magazines, newspapers and radio stations.
After having served in the Air Force as a volunteer, during which time he was also a contributor to the institution’s magazines, he decided to finish his studies as a working student – he graduated in Industrial Engineering and Management.
In 1991 he published his first book of poems, “ELOS” (1), thus opening a new way in the world of literature.
His second book, “PARADOXIA” (2), is published in 1992 and presented by the President of the Book and Reading Institute.
His talent as a poet is acknowledged by the academic world and in 1994 he publishes “GALARIM” (3) with the support of the Lusiada University, where he is a student.
”EXCITAÇÕES DA RAZÃO”(4), published in 1997 with the support of the CSJM (a local Youth NGO), defines a new approach to writing poetry – the poetic chronicle.
In 2005 he publishes “PLECTRO INATO” (5), again with the support of the Lusiada University.
In 2014 he attends a course in Mould-making Techniques for Sculpting, at the University of Porto School of Fine Arts.
”AMENAS TEMPESTADES” (6), his sixth book of poems, comes out in 2014, published by Versbrava.
In 2015 he participates in the I Art Biennial of Gaia with “Kiss”, a bronze sculpture.
In 2015 he participates in the Art Shopping of Carrousel du Louvre Paris with “Life”, a bronze sculpture.

BIOGRAFIA 
 
Jorge Braga nasceu em Esposende, uma pequena localidade no Norte de Portugal.
Cedo se destacou no mundo das letras, em particular na poesia, ganhando prémios em concursos e jogos florais, colaborando em revistas, jornais e programas de rádio.
Numa passagem voluntária pela Força Aérea Portuguesa, colaborou com as revistas da instituição.
De regresso à vida civil, voltou aos estudos, como trabalhador estudante e licenciou-se em Engenharia e Gestão Industrial.
Em 1991 publicou a seu primeiro livro de poemas “ELOS”, abrindo, assim, caminho a um novo percurso pelo mundo das letras.
Publica o seu segundo livro “PARADOXIA” em 1992, onde contou com a presença do Presidente do Instituto do Livro e da Leitura.
Em 1994, publica “GALARIM”, onde se afirma como poeta no mundo académico, sendo a apresentação promovida pela Universidade Lusíada, onde era aluno.
Em 1997, publicou, com o apoio do CSJM (Centro Social Juventude de Mar), a obra “EXCITAÇÕES DA RAZÃO” e dá início a uma nova forma de escrever poesia, a Crónica Poética.
Em 2005, publicou “Plectro Inato”, com o apoio da Universidade Lusíada.
Em 2014, tirou uma formação em Técnicas de Produção de Moldes para Escultura na Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto.
Em 2014, publicou a obra poética “Amenas Tempestades”, pela Vesbrava.
Em 2015, integrou a I Bienal de Artes de Gaia, com a sua escultura em bronze, “Beijo”.
Em 2015, integrou a Art Shopping no Carroussel du Louvre em Paris
