This painting is from a series of plein air sketches,watercolors and oil pastels (pastels d'huile) created on location during the artists 3 week 'working vacation' to Hydra,Greece..a Saronic island near Spetses and Poros, 90 minutes from Athens. During that time between August 17 to September 8, 2010 the unique style of art by Jeff Sterling, based in Miami,Florida and La Rochelle,France sold at the art exhibit featured at Carolina's Arts & Crafts near the clock tower in Hydra. There are still a few remaining paintings there..however they must be seen in person.
