Ce paysage est celui de mes balades au bois, c'est la vue que l'on a du petit pont du sentier de la perche que j'ai maintes et maintes fois peint. Je ne me lasse pas de ces endroits qui ne sont jamais les mêmes. Cette oeuvre est un arrêt sur image d'un environnement en constante évolution et en constant mouvement. Les couleurs des feuilles changent au fil du vent, comme les reflets de l'eau varies au gré des nuages.
J'ai inscrit tous ces changements sur la toile grâce à un minutieux travail de la peinture au couteau touche après touche alternant les sombres et les clairs afin de rendre le plus vivant possible le mouvement de l'eau et la végétation luxuriante du lieu.

In this impressionist-inspired painting, water, colour and texture take centre stage. This commanding view can be seen from the little bridge standing along the path. Many a time I have enjoyed painting it. I just cannot get enough of these quaint places which look different each passing moment.
